I keep telling people that
Sean Taylor is not my father,
but they won't listen to me.
Why won't they listen to me?
Welcome To The 2009
The event took place at the Tennessee State
Fairgrounds in Nashville and ran from October 18
through 19, 2008.  There were several great guests
in attendance.  I was unable to catch pictures with
Bill Johnson (Leatherface from "Texas Chainsaw
Massacre 2"), Leonard Lies (the machete zombie
from "Dawn Of The Dead), and Tommy Lee Wallace
(famed director and one of the first Michael
Myerses).  Ahh, well -- there's always next time.
I guess I've done so many shows that we've grown lazy about catching crowd or venue
shots.  Here are a couple of the few interaction photos that were taken.
Everyone knows that I'm a
wrestling mark, so I was quite
excited to catch a picture with
the legendary Jerry Lynn.  He
was one of the final ECW
World Champions (the real
ECW, I mean) and a former
talent with TNA.  He comes
from a day when "wrestlers"
actually existed and weren't
called "entertainers."
I was also pleased to find that
former TNA Knockout The Goddess
Athena is a Daniel Emery Taylor
fan!  She started quoting
The
Return Of Swamp Thing
lines to me
(which is always a good thing) and
had me sign a photo for her friend
Mindy.  It was a very cool thing to
be able to meet her and chat for a
minute.
Jim Krut, best known as the
Helicopter Zombie from the original
Dawn Of The Dead, was a very classy
guy and someone I really enjoyed
chatting with over the weekend.
My table neighbor for the weekend
was none other than Samantha
Newark, the voice of Jem and
Jerrica for the 80's cartoon
sensation
Jem & The Holograms.
She's also an accomplished singer
and an incredibly sweet lady.
Ami caught a moment with our
buddy Keth Age.  Keith's an
incredibly nice guy and someone we
really enjoyed hanging out with.
We were able to catch dinner with
him that Saturday night, but we
spent a big portion of the time
debating ghosts.  Nope, I still don't
believe.

Of course, the funniest moment
from dinner is one I won't repeat,
but it involves Sean Taylor, his foot,
and his mouth.
For all of your
beefcake needs,
we're The
Conventioneers!
The ladies have to
try and keep us in
line.
Todd and George
from ZP
International
were on hand to
promote the
upcoming
Hell-ephone.
Alex Del
Monacco and I
were happy to
be on hand to
take some
publicity shots.
Hey, who's the
guy in the hat?
Just teasing, Jim!
The Conventioneers pick up some more poor unassuming souls
somewhere along the way.
My beloved shares her
birthday with several of the
usual suspects, including
Bobby Nash, Sean Taylor, the
Gaithers, and the incorrigible
Marc Ballard.
