Welcome To The First Annual
OmegaCon
Me?  Of
course I was
there!  It was,
like, twenty
minutes from
my house.
We kicked things off on Friday with "Mondo Movie Night,"
hosted by our friends over at
Nightmare Theatre.  George
Hardy and I were on hand to answer questions about our
respective films.  (My buddy George, as you are well
aware, is the star of
Troll 2.  It may indeed be the worst
movie ever made.)  We had a large group of enthusiastic
fans of both films show up to ask questions and laugh
along with us.
I've got fans!
See?  I told you!
I was too afraid to approach
Richard Kiel ("Jaws" from
the 007 franchise) so I had
to take this picture of him at
a distance.
Kane Hodder
("Jason" from
several of the
Friday The
13th
films)
tried to kill
us.  Literally.
He literally
tried to
strangle us.
He's a
dangerous
man.  Watch
out!
For just a moment in time, I was a
Cemetery Surfer.
G. Larry Butler is the star of
Frankenstein Vs. The Monster From
Blood Cove
, a clever homage to the
monster mash-em-ups and atomic terrors
of the fifties.  It's a great flick, and a
guaranteed fun time.
Keith Age is a The Return Of Swamp Thing fan.  I respect
that in a man.  Keith's Sci-Fi Channel special
Children Of
The Grave
aired recently.  It was quite enjoyable and
gives skeptics (such as myself) something to think about.

Yeah, I still don't believe in ghosts ... but I love a good
ghost story.
I first met Shane Moore at Con Nooga but never got a
chance to catch a photo.  Shane's getting much respect
for his book series
A Prisoner's Welcome.  He's a
super-nice guy and a lot of fun to have as a convention
neighbor.
Richard LeParmentier, best known as Admiral Motti, best
known as the guy Darth Vader force-chokes, was a true
gentleman and someone I was really pleased to meet.
It's the man!  Chewbacca!  Ezra was pretty thrilled to meet Peter
Mayhew.  How awesome is the conversation Peter must have daily?
"So, what do you do for a living?"  "I'm Chewbacca."  "Oh."
