Our time at AdventureCon 2008
was unfortunately cut short, as a
scheduling conflict had me
missing out on Saturday to film
my role for
Hell-ephone.  It was
a fair trade-off, and we had a
great time on Friday and
Sunday.
Friday
Sunday
There were several cool guests in attendance, but my limited
schedule meant that I missed the majority of them.  I especially hate
that I missed Ernie Hudson.  I also missed Missi Pyle, Shawnee Smith,
Doug Jones, and Michael Biehn.  I did get to catch up with a few cool
people, though --
-- like the Hot Rod, "Rowdy" Roddy Piper!  Everyone knows that I've
been a wrestling fanatic since I was tiny, so it was more than a thrill
to be able to meet the wild Scotsman.  Uninteresting Fact: my first
two wrestling action figures ever were the old rubber LJN Hulk
Hogan and Roddy Piper.  That's a true story.  Fascinating, huh?
Of course, if there is a Kane Hodder
to be found the Taylor family will find
him.  It's no secret that Kane is Ami's
favorite non-Taylor celebrity
.  I like
Kane, too ... I just think it's *different*
than how Ami likes him.
It was very nice
to meet Danielle
Harris.  I've been
a fan since
Halloween IV:
The Return Of
Michael Myers

and I was quite
pleased to see
her in Rob
Zombie's
reimaging of the
franchise.
I've met so many comic
book artists in my life that it
is really hard to get all
jazzed up about meeting
another one -- but Arthur
Suydam did the job.  His
work on the covers of
Marvel Zombies has
practically created a new
sub-genre of comic art
and is invigorating the
horror presence in comics.
They wanted $30 for photos with the
Ecto-1, so I naturally slipped off to the
back side and snagged one for free.
It's a
CAR.  $30?  Really?
You know we've all got Nash love.  Bobby's our homeboy.
Isn't she a
cute girl?
Our Conventioneer recruiting drive
didn't go quite as planned.  What
the hell is Marc doing?
