ZP International's Hell-ephone was actually the first independent film I
had ever worked on.  Indie film is an entirely different world.  The cool
thing about indie film is that there is a lot more room to experiment.
Hollywood steals all of its fresh ideas from backyard filmmakers.

We filmed my scene in a hot schoolhouse in Irvine, Kentucky.  It was
July and there was no air conditioning on.  Naturally, this lead to the
most pleasant of circumstances.

Hell-ephone was directed by George Bonilla.  George is a terrific guy
with a great creative mind.  He is also a maniac.  It is a chore trying to
keep up with him.

ZP International does have this fantastic method of filming.  The use
two cameras for each shot, cutting production time in half.  I have often
wondered what someone like Bonilla could do with a million dollar
budget.
This is the official promotional shot ZP released.
This became my official promotional shot from the film.
George gives more direction.
Lyz keeps my face from melting in the six hundred degree heat.
Ami gets all "Batman" with her camera angles.
Why, yes, that IS sweat all over my shirt.
